Police Join Forces with NIMC to Crack Down on Identity Theft and Criminal Activity

In a bid to combat identity theft and other data-related crimes, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) has directed the Nigeria Police National Cybercrime Centre to collaborate with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC). This strategic partnership aims to leverage the expertise and resources of both agencies to effectively tackle cybercriminal activities and protect Nigerian citizens’ personal data.
The IGP has vowed to explore all available means to combat crimes and criminality in Nigeria, ensuring the safety and security of the nation’s digital space.
