He continued: ‘My duties shall include but not limited to educating and enlightening the young people especially children on the dangers of illicit drugs usage and trafficking.’
He added: ‘Today our young people in schools and streets indulge in drug abuse, misusing drugs such as tramadol, codeine, alcohol, nicotine, cocaine to mention a few. Some will say it helps them withstand pain, stress and feel high. These are destructive effects that often lead to various offences and crimes in our society.’
He promised to be a leading example in the fight as he will use his various stage appearances and the Ozzybee Fan Club to campaign strongly against drug abuse and trafficking.
The ambassadors were charged to use their positions well and effect arrests, where necessary, of erring members of the public by handling them over to NDLEA officials. This is because they do not only bag certificates but also carry NDLEA authorized ID cards.
