Over 200 Case Files, Equipment Destroyed as Fire Erupts at Kwara High Court

A fire broke out at the Kwara State High Court Complex in Ilorin on Sunday night, damaging part of Courtroom No. 10.
The blaze ignited around 8:02 PM due to a power surge, as reported by the State Fire Service.
Fortunately, firefighters acted quickly to contain the fire, preventing further destruction to the complex.
The incident resulted in the loss of several items, including two air conditioners, a plasma TV, a fan, important documents, and furniture.
Hassan Adekunle, the Head of Media and Publicity for the Kwara State Fire Service, commended the firefighters for their prompt response.
The Chief Judge of the state and the Special Adviser to the Governor also acknowledged their efforts.
This incident stressed the importance of prioritising fire safety and remaining vigilant to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
