The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Olatunji Disu, has alleged that some police suspects are being hidden inside the Osun State Government House, saying the information was relayed to him by the state’s Commissioner of Police.

Disu made the claim during a meeting with Governor Ademola Adeleke amid rising political tension in the state.

According to the IGP, the Commissioner of Police informed him that individuals wanted by the police had allegedly taken refuge in the Government House, a development he described as disturbing and capable of undermining ongoing investigations.

“I was informed by the Commissioner of Police that some suspects being sought by the police are hiding in the Government House,” the police chief reportedly told the governor.

The allegation comes amid heightened political activities and security concerns in Osun State, with the police leadership insisting that no individual, regardless of status or location, should obstruct law enforcement operations.

The IGP stressed the need for cooperation between the state government and security agencies to ensure that suspects wanted by the police are made available for investigation and possible prosecution.

The development is expected to generate fresh political debate in the state, with observers calling for a transparent investigation to establish the facts surrounding the claim. This version follows a straight-news style and avoids presenting the allegation as an established fact.
