Ooni of Ife Visits FCT Customs Command, Commends Comptroller Olu Emmanuel

The Customs Area Controller of the FCT Area Command, Comptroller Olu Emmanuel Adebisi, on Monday, December 16, 2024, hosted the Ooni of Ife, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, at the Command’s office complex located off Bill Clinton Drive, Airport Road, Abuja.
The visit, described as a familiarization tour, saw the revered monarch express satisfaction with the contributions and achievements of Comptroller Olu Emmanuel, whom he described as “one of their sons” making significant strides in the Nigeria Customs Service.
Speaking during the visit, the Ooni of Ife appreciated the warm reception accorded to him by the Controller and his management team despite the short notice. He emphasized the importance of leaders maintaining strong ties with their people, noting that his visit was to encourage Comptroller Olu Emmanuel to continue his outstanding service to the nation.
“I am impressed with the level of achievements and contributions made by Comptroller Olu Emmanuel to the Service. It is essential to acknowledge and encourage individuals who are making a difference, and I urge him to remain steadfast in his duties,” the Ooni stated.
In his remarks, Comptroller Olu Emmanuel Adebisi expressed his gratitude to the Ooni for the honor of visiting the Command. He described the royal visit as a significant morale booster, not just for him but for all officers and men of the FCT Area Command.
“This visit is an encouragement for us to rededicate ourselves to the service of the nation. I also urge other traditional rulers to emulate the Ooni’s gesture by visiting their sons and daughters in public service to inspire and motivate them,” Comptroller Olu said.
Before his departure, the Ooni of Ife extended royal and fatherly blessings to the Controller, officers, and men of the FCT Area Command. He further admonished them to remain diligent and committed in the discharge of their statutory responsibilities.
The visit underscored the importance of collaboration and moral support in fostering national development and promoting excellence within the Nigeria Customs Service.
