OLUREMI TINUBU, NANA SHETTIMA COMMISERATE WITH BADMUS FAMILY ON LOSS OF MATRIARCH

It was a sad moment of tears as the wife of the President-elect, Sen Oluremi Tinubu and wife of the Vice President-elect, Hajia Nana Shetima commiserated with the family of the Iyaloja of Abuja, Chief Mrs Toyin Badmus after her sudden demise. Toyin Badmus was a very active member of the Tinubu Shettima Presidential women’s campaign Team.

The compassionate mother of Nigeria, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu was represented by the ebullient APC National Women Leader, Dr Betta Edu accompanied by Hon Asebe Venita, the DG of National Women Development Center; Hon Hail Mary Ahipo the FCT Woman leader and other women stakeholders. Upon arrival, they signed condolence register. They, then, addressed the deceased family on behalf of the wife of the President-Elect Sen. Oluremi Tinubu and Wife of the Vice President – Elect Hajia Nana Shettima.

 

In the condolence speech, Dr. Edu said the wife of President Elect expressed shock over the demise of the deceased, noting that she was indeed an icon and epitome of womanhood. A mother to many, a great mobilizer, a voice for the grassroots market women, and a committed believer of the great leadership of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Trek Africa Newspaper also gathered from Dr. Edu that the late Chief Badmus worked tirelessly for the victory of Asiwaju Tinubu, President-elect, and she will be sorely missed. She prayed that Almighty God would grant her soul rest in his Bosom.

 

To the bereaved family, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu extended her love to them, pleading with them to be consoled by the great legacies their mother left behind. She prayed that God would grant them the fortitude to bear the replaceable loss.

Similarly, the DG National Women Development Center Hajia Venita Asabe also gave her words of condolence to the bereaved family noting that every soul shall taste death but it all depends when it comes as God had hidden that from man. She called for prayers for the family at this point of grief.

 

In his response to those who paid the condolence visit, the brother of late Chief Badmus who stood in for the family together with her son thanked the Wife of the President-elect, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu and Hajiya Nana Shettima ably represented by the National Women Leader Dr Betta Edu and her entourage comprising the DG National Women Development Center, APC Women Stakeholders and sympathizers for coming. They said the loss was indeed too much, and they sought prayers from all during this period. They called on everyone to be very conscious of their health and pay needed attention always as they go about their daily lives.

In a separate interview, Trek Africa Newspaper can report that Dr. Betta Edu advised Nigerians to do regular checkups on their health status and take adequate steps daily to address any challenge. especially the silent killers, hypertension, and diabetes mellitus. She urged everyone, women in particular, to always do a routine check-up on their vital signs such as blood pressure and sugar level in order to prevent sudden death from occuring.
