OLABANJI-OBA HAILS HON. KOLADE ALABI, APC-PCC LOCAL GOVT. DIRECTORATE ON SUCCESS OF ENGAGEMENT SUMMIT • Says summit will boost grassroots leaders to promote Tinubu/Shettima bid

The National Chairman of the Association of Local Government Vice Chairmen of Nigeria, Aarebinrin Hon. Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba has hailed the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Local Government Directorate, under the leadership of Hon. Alabi Kolade David for the success of the Local Government Directorate Engagement Summit which held at the African Hall, International Conference Center, Abuja yesterday. The summit gathered over 7000 grassroots leaders across the country. This is in order to empower them with strategies and procedures which will enable them to effectively discharge One-on-One campaign in their respective domains. They were also tasked to take the message of presidential and vice presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu/Senator Kashim Shettima, to every door and street across the Country.
Speaking to Trek Africa Newspaper on the success of the program, Aarebinrin Folashade Olabanji-Oba said: ‘The engagement summit is a great way to establish camaraderie and instill sense of belonging in our grassroots leaders. I am sure that they have been boosted with the energy to promote Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima once they return to their base.’
‘I must also thank Hon. Kolade David Alabi for this great work. This is innovation, never done before in the history of Nigerian politics. This is bringing grassroots close to the top echelon of power.
‘I will further salute Hon. Alabi who is also performing tremendously as ALGON National President. As vice chairmen, we are grateful for your style of leadership which emulates the style of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. It is a plus to increase the number in the grassroots.’

Olabanji-Oba then used the opportunity to thank her colleagues, the vice chairmen in Nigeria. ‘I thank Lagos State vice chairmen and all the state chapters for their love towards the nation. Thank you for being pillars to our Executive Chairmen. We are rededicated to making Nigeria great.’
At the summit, the APC vice-presidential candidate, Senator Kashim Shettima was present to charge the grassroots leaders. On the speech, Aarebinrin Princess Olabanji-Oba told Trek Africa Newspaper, ‘I admire Shettima yesterday. He spoke in different languages. He was electrifying. The Tinubu/Shettima team is the best that Nigeria needs now.’
Trek Africa Newspaper can report that the large number of grassroots leaders who were invited by the APC-PCC Local Government Directorate comprised Local Government Chairmen, Vice Chairmen, Councillors, Party Chairmen, Secretary to Local Government (SLG), ward Chairmen, ward secretaries drawn from across the nation.
