OGUNSAN FELICITATE WITH IGP EGBETOKUN ON CONFIRMATION AS SUBSTANTIVE INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE

The Board Member of Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) and Chairman of Executive Group, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan has felicitated with the acting IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun on his confirmation by the President and Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR as the substantive Inspector-General of Police of Nigeria.
The confirmation was announced by the Honorable Minister of Police Affairs, Ibrahim Gaidam, after the meeting of the National Police Council which was superintended over by the President at the State House, Abuja, Trek Africa Newspaper can report.
Speaking on the new development, Ogunsan remarked: ‘I congratulate the effective and efficient IGP on his confirmation today by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR. This is proof positive of the giant strides that IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun has taken since he was announced as IGP in acting capacity.’
‘I want to urge our now substantive IGP that he should not relent in his efforts. He has chosen the path of dedication to service, loyalty to the ideals of the Police, and Faith in God since he joined the Force, I urge him to finish strong. He should continue on the path that our fathers of faith have set.’
‘I pray that the Nigeria Police will blossom greatly and succeed immensely under your watch. Continue to give your best, dear IGP Egbetokun. I celebrate you’, Ogunsan shared with Trek Africa Newspaper.
The Police Council is chaired by the President and consisting of the 36 governors, the Minister of the FCT, Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), and the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), confirmed Egbetokun.
Minister of Police Affairs, Ibrahim Gaidam, announced Egbetokun’s confirmation as the IGP to state house correspondents after the meeting. He highlighted Egbetokun’s impressive curriculum vitae and international exposure.
