NSCDC Provost Marshal, Kolawole Visits Lagos Command, Releases Welfare Packages

The Provost Marshal of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Deputy Commandant of Corps (DCC) Babatunde Stephen Kolawole, has a paid a one day working visit to the Lagos State Command in furtherance of the Commandant General Ahmed Abubakar Audi’s commitment to rejig the unit towards taking the Corps to greater height as well as to the training and retraining of the Corps’ personnel.

A statement by the Lagos Command’s PRO, ASCI Abolurin Oluwaseun, and made available to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP), noted that the PM’s visit was in line with the vision and focus of the CG Audi.

 

“His visit was hinged on touring the various zones of the Corps to organize workshops and train the provosts on modern democratic guidelines, techniques and tactics for good practices in the service,” the statement noted.

Commandant Eweka Douglas Okoro, who warmly received the PM and his team on arrival in his capacity as the head of the command, charged participants, who were drawn from the Zonal Command, Zone A Lagos, Lagos State Command and the Liaison Command to be focused and committed to learning new skills at the workshop.

 

In his remarks, the Provost Marshal tasked the participants on loyalty, discipline, proactiveness, professionalism, regimentation, dedication and commitment to duty.

“The Commandant General has pledged his commitment to rejigging the Provost Unit of the Corps, in a bid to take the Corps to a radiant state of glory, and so, has also directed that some uniforms and accoutrements be given to the provosts in the various zones visited by the team as a form of welfare package, which will serve as motivation to the staff,” the PM said amid applause.

 

Also present at the event were the Head of Training, Lagos State Command, DCC Kayode Folaranmi, and other senior officers of the Corps, who took turns to advise the participants on the vision of the Corps as a whole and the CG.
