NSCDC PARADES THREE (3) SUSPECTS IN ONDO FOR VARIOUS CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ondo State Command has arrested and paraded three (3) suspected criminals for offences ranging from obtaining by false pretense, illegal possession of counterfeit money and vandalism of transformer.
According to the State Commandant of the Corps, Commandant Pedro Awili Ideba while parading the three (3) suspects who he identified as Oladele Ayuba from Ilorin, kwara state, Abiodun Oluwaseun and Jayeola Tosin before the press men at the State Command headquarters in Alagbaka, Akure earlier today.

He said Oladele Ayuba who claimed to be an Islamic cleric involved in advanced fee fraud, that is obtaining by false pretense, he has duped many who come to him for prayers of various amounts ranging from N36, 000,000, N300, 000 but he was arrested following a complaint by one of his victims, Tajudeen Ekundayo who lost Four million, three hundred thousand Naira to the syndicate. Commandant Pedro said immediately the complaint was lodged at the Command HQ, his men swung into action and arrested the man who is the king pin of the syndicate in Arigidi Akoko while other members of the syndicate was still at large. Commandant Pedro added that so many criminal activities ranging from kidnapping, ritual killing and fraud have been traced to him and the king of Arigidi Akoko, Zaki of Arigidi has written a letter to the state command about the criminal activities like kidnapping, ritual killing and fraud that have been committed and traced to the man. The king said he does not want to see the man in the community again. So many fetish items and a car were recovered from the suspect.
Also paraded was one Abiodun Oluwaseun who specialised in printing and spending counterfeit Naira, he was arrested after using N24,000 fake N1,000 denomination to buy goods from one provision seller. The woman reported the case to the State command and the men of the Corps trailed the syndicate and arrested one of them while others are still at large.
The Civil defence boss also said one Jayeola Tosin known as Asala was arrested in Ikare Akoko for vandalizing transformer cables. He said the suspect was arrested by men of the Nigeria army and handed over to the Corps for further investigation and prosecution.
Commandant Pedro assured the members of the public that justice would prevail in the matter; he said the Corps has commenced the process of arraigning all the suspects in court. He asserted that the law must surely take its full course. He added that the corps in collaboration with other agencies is determined to rid Ondo State of these types of Criminal elements.
