Abuja, Oct. 8, 2024 – The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) FCT Command has marked a milestone with the passing-out parade of 135 personnel who underwent rigorous basic arms training, bolstering the Command’s capacity to tackle emerging security challenges.

Commandant Olusola Odumosu, PhD, while addressing the gathering, described the occasion as historic, noting that the training was conducted in-house by the Command’s seasoned instructors.

“This achievement underscores our commitment to enhancing the protection of critical national assets, infrastructure, and lives and property in the FCT and beyond,” Odumosu said.

The Commandant General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD, Mni, was commended for approving and supporting the program.

Since January, the Command has arrested over 120 suspects for vandalizing public facilities and theft, securing multiple court convictions.

Odumosu congratulated the graduating personnel, charging them to remain professional, protect themselves, and safeguard lives and property.

The Honourable Minister of the FCT, Bar. Nyesom Wike, was thanked for his support, including operational vehicles and gadgets.

Distinguished guests attended the ceremony, and the Command reiterated its commitment to delivering on its mandate.
