The event which was Moderated by the Forum convener Mr. Dayo Israel had in attendance Rt. Hon Femi Gbajabiamila (Leader of the Nigerian House of Reps), MP Jim Shannon, MP Jeremy Lefroy, Mr Alistair Soyode of BEN TV and other speakers representing various political affiliations from Nigeria.
The event focused largely on the role of Diaspora in Nigeria’s political process and Diaspora Voting. One of the outcome of the event was a resolution by the Diaspora community to challenge the removal of the Diaspora voting bill from the constitutional amendment in court, which Rt. hon Gbajabiamila promised to support if the Diaspora community, having locus, can attempt.
