NIGERIAN NAVY HONOURS FALLEN HERO WITH BUNGALOW FOR WIDOW

The Chief of the Naval Staff Vice Admiral EI Ogalla has presented a two-bedroom semi-detached bungalow to a widow of a fallen hero, who was also a Leading Seaman, at Navy Estate Karshi in Abuja.

Represented by the Director of Veteran Affairs, Rear Admiral Mohammed Yakubu Dahiru, the widow of late Leading Regulator, Suleiman MK, who died in the active line of duty during Operation WHIRL STROKE, on the 13th of August, 2023, In Niger State, was presented with the house to show that the Nigerian Navy, never leaves anyone behind and places top priority on their personnel and their families.

The CNS hoped that even if the officer was deceased, the accommodation would provide comfort to the bereaved family and it was an affirmation that the Nigerian Navy’s commitment to the welfare of its personnel, both in life and after their ultimate sacrifice.

He stated that defending one’s country in a call to arms was an honour and such honours would continue to be given and bequeathed to officers and men, both living and deceased.
