NIGERIAN ARMY SIGNALS PULLS OUT RETIRED SENIOR OFFICERS IN GRAND STYLE

The Nigerian Army Signals (NAS) has ceremonially pulled out its retired senior officers after distinguished and meritorious service to the nation. The colourful event, held on 10 April 2026 at the Nigerian Army School of Signals, Apapa, Lagos, was attended by serving and retired senior officers, family members and well-wishers.
Speaking on behalf of the retired senior officers, the Special Guest of Honour and Reviewing Officer, Major General Abiodun Owolabi (rtd) described the ceremony as a significant milestone marking the end of active service and the beginning of a new phase of life. He highlighted the invaluable contributions of the retired officers, particularly in enhancing effective military communications in support of Nigerian Army operations.

Major General Owolabi charged serving personnel to uphold the core values of discipline, loyalty and professionalism, while reaffirming the commitment of the retired officers to continue supporting the Nigerian Army as ambassadors of the institution.
The event featured the commissioning of the Headquarters NAS Officersβ Mess and a luncheon in honour of the retired officers. The ceremony culminated in the presentation of souvenirs to the retirees and their spouses.
