Nigerian Army Institutes Board Of Inquiry To Investigate Killing Of Islamic Cleric, Aisami

Headquarters of Sector 2 Joint Task force, Operation Hadin-kai has instituted a Board Of Inquiry (BOI) to investigate the incident that led to the brutal killing of a renowned Gashua-based Islamic scholar, Sheikh Goni Aisami and recommend necessary punishment for the arrested prime culprits.
In a statement e-signed and released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP by the spokesman of the Sector and Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, Captain Kennedy Anyanwu, the Board would kick start investigation in earnest to unravel the circumstances that led to the death of Sheikh Aisami.
According to the statement, the Nigerian Army regretted the sad incident and commiserated with the family of the deceased while urging the public to remain calm as necessary steps are being taken to ensure justice is done.
It could be recalled that Sheikh Aisami was killed on Friday night allegedly by two soldiers attached to 241 Recce Battalion, Nguru while on his way to Gashua from Kano.
