NATIONAL HONOURS: BUHARI CONFERS CFR AWARD ON IGP BABA; RETIRED IGP ARASE, ADAMU, OTHERS HONOURED

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, psc(+), NPM, fdc was today conferred with the National honours award of the Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR) by the President and Commander-in-Chief, His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
The honour is in recognition of his immense contributions to upholding the mandate of maintaining internal security in the country, National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP can report.

Also, the President conferred the CFR awards on retired IGPs – Dr Solomon Arase, NPM, fdc, and Mohammed Adamu, NPM, mni.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Sanusi Lemu, mni got the honour of Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) award.
On the long list of Police officers honoured are late CSP Ibrahim O. Mohammed, CSP Benedict Okoh Ajide, Sgt Adesina Isaiah and Sgt Umar Saidu. NAOSNP can report that they were bestowed posthumously with the National Honours of the Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) and Federal Republic Medal (FRM) respectively.
