Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa launches defence innovation initiative to bridge military-tech gap

Christopher Musa, minister of defence, says nations that fail to innovate will struggle to secure their future, noting that Nigeria’s defence posture must evolve with the realities of the fourth industrial revolution.
Speaking in Lagos at the Omniverse Africa summit 3.0, the minister highlighted the changing character of conflict, particularly in an era of fast-changing threats and technologies.

“The battlefield now extends beyond land, sea and air into cyberspace, digital infrastructure, information systems and technological advantage, and nations that fail to innovate will struggle to secure their future,” the minister said.
