It is the era of renewed hope as the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is now the President-elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. With 8,794,726 votes, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu defeated the top contenders, Atiku Abubakar of PDP, Peter Obi of Labour Party, and Rabiu Kwankwaso of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) to 2nd, 3rd and 4th positions respectively.
It is on this note that millionaire businesswoman and philanthropist, HRH Temitope Ajayi aka. Mama Diaspora urged Nigerians to celebrate the victory and expect the renewed hope. She spoke briefly with Trek Africa Newspaper. HRH Ajayi said: ‘There is always going to be a silver lining after every dark cloud. There is always going to be a light after every dark tunnel. We fought the fight, we ran the race, only the Almighty can crown. Let us come together as one nation. Democracy is alive. Government of the people, by the people, and for the people is alive. Everybody should be happy now.’
‘Though tribes and tongue may differ, three top candidates came out, only 1 can win and God has chosen one. Let us subject our differences, let us embrace ourselves’, she urged the other candidates.
Recalling what transpired on Saturday at the polls, she noted: ‘I went to 23 polling booths and when I saw my young adults, I was elated. I see my future, I was impressed. For the first time, the young adults are active to lead. I love you, young adults. I love Nigeria. Arise and shine for the light of Nigerian young adult and women has come and the glory of the Lord is upon you.’
On the capacity of the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Mama Diaspora told Trek Africa Newspaper, ‘No mother, no father can see his/her children suffer. Asiwaju, the Jagaban of Borgu, the incoming President by the Grace of God is not a father who will see his children suffer. He knows the yearnings of the people. We suffered for this democracy together. I will never forget that.’
‘As a young adult, we call him Egbon Bola. He was chief accountant at Mobil. My elder brother is brilliant. He made me Mama Diaspora, a millionaire at 40.’
On the perception about the elderly state of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, ‘Age is in the hands of the Almighty God. Age is wisdom. Age is intellectual figure. Age is not a barrier, I am telling everybody. It is never too late for God’s favour; that is what is happening to my brother. When the Lord turned the captivity of Zion that is what is happening to him’.
