“Especially the citizens of Lagos who are the major stakeholders in this election. Is so sad that they are not coming out in large numbers to express their civic responsibility.
“This is the government of the people, the government that so many people rely on. They are the local government chairmen, the councilors,” She said
Benson-Awoyinka said it was very important that the people partook in this election. She noted that this is the government that the people reach out to for their day to day needs.
She added that she expected the turnout to be more than this.

The special adviser applauded LASIEC for a job well done, noting that everything was done timely and voting materials got to the polling units on time.
She charged the incoming winners to know that the government is the government of the people and is closest to the people and is a government that people rely on.
“So l expect them to tow the line of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, by reaching out to the people and doing what concerns the people.
“I expect them to feel that void. There is a gap in the local government which is between the government and the people, lso l expect them to feel it.
“This is the government of the youth so l expect the winners to be up and doing. They should deliver on their campaign promises.
“They should understand what the people need and reach out to them and to the other side of the camp, they should make peace reign in the state.
she said
“They should bring everyone on board in order to give room for a smooth sailing government, ” she said
