LAWAA Women Drum Support For Ambode Second Term

Following the spate of infrastructural development, construction of more network roads, good leadership style, several achievements and his pedigree in delivering dividends of democracy to Lagosians, a group called “The Lagos Women for Akinwunmi Ambode” (LAWAA) led by Chief Kemi Nelson, The All Progressive Congress (APC) South west Women Leader ), converge in Ikeja to endorse the Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode for a second term in office during their empowerment program for Women from different local government in the state.
The Convener of LAWAA, Chief Mrs Kemi Nelson, Chairman of LAWAA, Hon. Olayinka Oladunjoye, Chairman Media for LAWAA, Hon. Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba and Other LAWAA committee members were in attendance while cheques were being presented to the adjudged best five local governments.

Ikeja Local Goverment clinched the first position with the cash of #250,000, while second position goes to Surulere Local Goverment with #200,000. The third position goes to Ifako-Ijaiye Local Goverment with the figure of #150,000,
Ojokoro Local Goverment and Mushin Local Goverment with #150,00 each as forth and fifth winners respectively.
The presentation ceremony which held at the APC Secretariat, ACME Road, Ogba-Ikeja, saw Chief Mrs Kemi Nelson, speaking eloquently with newsmen, she declared that, “Mr. Ambode haa performed excellently well and everyone can attest to that, Its not negotiable. He deserves a second term” she stated. She encouraged women in the state to mobilize for the collection of PVCs so as to ensure a landslide victory for the Governor come 2019.

Nelson also explained that the monetary gift given out was sourced by the committee and not collected from the Governor or any of his aides. While appreciating the committee on behalf of other women, the Chairperson of LAWAA, Ikeja Local Goverment, Mrs Balogun Abigael, promised to mobilize women in the State to ensures resounding victory for Governor Ambode at the polls in 2019.
The Executive Vice Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government and Chairman, Planning Committee of LAWAA on PR/Media, Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba, also affirmed to that, apart from Ambode’s marvellous performance in the area of embarking on useful projects, he has worked hard to secure the State for us to live very peaceful.
