LASU VICE-CHANCELLOR CONGRATULATES PROFESSOR OLUFEMI ADEBOWALE ABASS ON HIS APPOINTMENT AS DIRECTOR-GENERAL, WAII

 

 

The Vice-Chancellor, Lagos State University, Distinguished Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola OLATUNJI-BELLO, mni, NPOM, on behalf of the management, staff, and the entire University community, congratulates the Acting Director, Lagos State University (LASU) Ventures Limited, Professor Olufemi Adebowale ABASS on his appointment as the incoming Director-General and Head of Mission of the West African Insurance Institute (WAII), Banjul, The Gambia.

Professor Olufemi Adebowale ABASS is a Professor of Risk Management and Insurance with extensive experience in academia, research, and professional practice. His emergence as Director-General of WAII demonstrates the value of perseverance, competence, and consistent service, and serves as an inspiration for younger academics and professionals striving for excellence.

The Vice-Chancellor notes that this well-deserved recognition is a testament to his distinguished academic career, his contributions to research, and his unwavering commitment to advancing knowledge and public service. It is a fitting acknowledgement of his years of dedication to scholarship, professional excellence, and capacity building within the insurance and financial services sector.
