Lagos State Head of Service, Bode Agoro Presents Appointments Letter To Olufunke Omolara Tayo As Acting State Auditor-General

Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, presented the letter of appointment to Mrs. Olufunke Omolara Tayo as the Acting State Auditor-General, Office of the State Auditor-General, Lagos State.
The presentation took place during a brief ceremony held in his Office, the Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja, on Tuesday, 28th July, 2026.
Mrs. Tayo’s appointment follows the redeployment of the erstwhile State Auditor-General, Dr. Muyiwa Adetola, as the Accountant-General/Permanent Secretary, State Treasury Office.
Prior to her appointment, Mrs. Tayo served as the Director, Government Accounts in the Office of the State Auditor-General.
A seasoned professional, Mrs. Tayo possesses over three decades of cognate experience in Accounting and Taxation.
She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), the Chartered Institute of Directors (CIoD), and a Certified Forensic Investigation Professional (CFIP).
In recognition of her exemplary service and contributions to society, she was conferred with the Distinguished Woman of Peace and Honour Award by the United Nations Positive Livelihood Award Centre (UN-POLAC).
She has also received several other prestigious awards and honours.
In his remarks, Mr. Agoro expressed confidence in Mrs. Tayo’s ability to provide purposeful leadership and further strengthen the Office of the State Auditor-General.
He wished her a successful, impactful, and rewarding tenure in Office.
