LAGOS COUNCIL BOSS DONATES SECURITY INTERVENTION MATERIALS TO POLICE

As part of his administration’s continuous efforts in ensuring a safe and secure environment for all residents and commuters within the Ikoyi-Obalende Local Council Development Area during this Yuletide season and beyond, the local council presented 3 Mobile Patrol Bikes to all the Police Divisions within the LCDA jurisdiction namely: Onikan; Ikoyi; and, Dolphin.

The Executive Chairman of the local council, Mayor Fuad Atanda Lawal informed that the 3 Mobile Patrol Bikes come equipped with all the necessary tools to aid the prevention of criminal acts, maintenance of public order and the discovery of hazardous situations or conditions.

According to the Mayor of the most urbanized local council in sub-Saharan Africa, these Mobile Patrol Bikes will compliment the local council’s 24hour Emergency Hotline 0708080000 and increase rapid response.

At the special intervention event are CPS Francis Oyeyemi, the Divisional Police Officer at Dolphin Police Station; CPS Akinsola Ogunwale, the Divisional Police Officer at Onikan as well as Mr. Olaitan Ishola, the Divisional Police Officer at Ikoyi Police Station.

Also at the presentation ceremony are members of the council management, legislators, other stakeholders and other members of public.

As expected the 3 Divisional Police Officers after the Council Chairman handed over the Bikes to them pledged to make good use of the super bikes to forestall a crime free Ikoyi-Obalende LCDA before, during and even after the yuletide seasons.
