LAGOS BUDGET IS NEW YEAR GIFT TO LAGOSIANS – Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa

‘Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands’, the book of Psalms 100 opens with a charge. And that’s exactly what members of the Lagos House of Assembly, irrespective of their religious differences did at the end of the year thanksgiving organized by the Christian counterparts in the assembly complex on 27th December 2019.
Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu representing Ikeja Constituency 1, the patron of the programme said: ‘the essence of the program is to give thanks to GOD in the 17th annual thanksgiving service Tagged: “Excellent Spirit”. I am quite happy to be called upon to be patron of the program. It is a huge task being the first time that we have combination of the three programs – the outreach, thanskgiving, end of the year party, and the children’s party to ensure that none is left out of the celebratoon’
The legislators, the staff, their families and friends were in attendance at the programme that was also used to recognise and award deserving members of the workforce at the Lagos House.

Trek Africa Newspaper can reliably disclose that the program which hosted Apostle Wole Oladiyun and Dcns Mojisola Adeniji as guest minister and guest artist respectively had the First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. Mrs. Ibijoke Claudia Sanwo-olu take the reading of the Holy Scriptures and thereafter bursting into songs of worship in praise to the Almighty and to the standing ovation of people in attendance.
The grand patron, Hon. Oluyinka Ogundimu, representing Agege constituency 2 added that the program is a coming together of members of the House of Assembly to thank GOD for the year. ‘We all started and ended the year together. At the same time, we have excelled in all of our legislative agenda of the year. And we are going to conclude the issue of budget this year’
The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa believed that the house has done well in the last one year. ‘We have put in all our efforts into achieving the reason for our election. Our relationship with other arms has been for the interest of the people. I believe that this administration will serve the people of Lagos. We made a promise that we will deliver the budget as new year gift, we will fulfill it as long as this year has not ended.’
