LACK OF GOOD PARENTING IS THE BANE OF OUR DEVELOPMENT -REV PAM

The Executive Secretary, Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC, Rev. Dr. Yakubu Pam has said lack of good parenting at home is responsible for Nigeria’s persistent underdevelopment.
He said over 70 percent of the problems we find today in the country are a direct result of failed parenting which has put the nation on crutches.
Rev Pam who was speaking during the public presentation of two books on Marriage volumes 3 and 4 written by Pastor Pam Dagwom at the Church of Christ in all Nations, COCIN, Local Church Council (LCC), Rayfield in Jos South Local Government Area Sunday, October 3, 2021, maintained that preents most spearhead the training of their children to avert societal disaster.
According to Rev Pam what we see today in the country in regards to street urchins is mostly because as parents we have failed to bring up our kids according to the biblical injunction of training up a child in the way he should go.
He said leaders are always a direct reflection of their upbringing insisting the kind of training they received while they were young is what goes into the society stressing the need to inculcate good discipline at home as the best way to produce good leaders.
Earlier, at the Eagle Faith Christian Assembly, Angul Jos, Rev Pam who also dedicated two books: Word Bank and Breakfast for Champions(a daily devotional) written by the Senior Pastor of the Church, Rev Isaac Success Gofwen said believers should work hard on their dreams and not rely on anybody to attain their goals in life.
He said laying a good foundation is important to any ministry praising the faithfulness of the Senior Pastor for standing to the call God called him urging the congregation to lend him support despite their number.
He said the growth of any ministry does not lie in the number of attendees but in how well a Pastor can handle the congregation without stress. He gave an example with the ministry of Jesus Christ where he had twelve disciples.
According to him, champions are not necessarily ‘giants’ or known through “physical appearance” but about seeing a goal and pursuing it to a conclusion.
A champion, he said, sees beyond the challenge urging the Senior Pastor not to be limited in his thoughts but should press forward toward attaining the goal.
He said Nigeria is in perilous times but assured we shall bounce back and we should not rely on external support to build our country but we must show stability in all that we do insisting like the nation of Israel that passed through the wilderness for 40 years, our nation at 61 will bounce back again.
