Kogi senator asks army to intensify rescue of kidnap victims

Sunday Karimi, senator representing Kogi west, has urged the Nigerian army to intensify efforts to rescue victims still held hostage by kidnappers.
Karimi spoke during a courtesy visit to Kasim Sidi, commander of the army’s 12th brigade, at the Chari Maigumeri barracks in Lokoja, Kogi state.
Karimi commended Sidi and officers of the brigade for their dedication and commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the senatorial district.
The lawmaker applauded the Nigerian Army for dismantling terrorist networks, rescuing victims and restoring peace in the area, while praising the professionalism of troops in tackling banditry and kidnapping.
