JUST IN: Rivers State Sole Administrator, Ibas Summons Suspended Governor Fubara, his Deputy to Government House

Vice Admiral (Rtd.) Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, the Sole Administrator of Rivers State, has summoned suspended Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, Dr. Ngozi Ordu, to appear at the Government House in Port Harcourt on Friday, April 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM.
The directive, announced Tuesday by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibibia Lucky Worika, is part of an official inquiry into appointments made during Fubara’s administration over the past two years. Fubara has been instructed to provide comprehensive documentation, including the rationale and procedures behind the appointments, and to explain why he believes he should be reinstated.
The inquiry, described as mandatory, aims to restore transparency, accountability, and peace in Rivers State’s governance, according to the statement. Both officials are required to attend in person at the Government House Conference Room.
