His death was confirmed by Hon. Solomon Bonus, representing Badagry Constituency.

Pa Akinsanya Sunny Ajose, a prominent member of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC) and former Lagos State Head of Service, has passed away. He died on Thursday, 16 January, 2025, after a brief illness. Pa Ajose was in his mid-70s.

His death was confirmed by Hon. Solomon Bonus, the lawmaker representing Badagry Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, who shared the news on his Facebook page on Thursday morning.

This medium reports that Ajose, a close ally of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was a significant figure in Lagos politics, particularly as the leader for the Badagry axis of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He was among the final group of members admitted to the prestigious and powerful Governance Advisory Council in 2022.

Throughout his distinguished career, Pa Ajose reached the highest position in the Lagos State Civil Service, serving as the Head of Service before his retirement.

His political influence extended further as he served as Deputy Chief of Staff to both Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Babatunde Raji Fashola during their respective tenures as Governors of Lagos State.
