What a way to round up an impactful time with a senior colleague. On Friday 10th February 2023, the officers and men of Nigeria Police Zone 2 (Lagos and Ogun states) organized an all-white party to honour the erstwhile head, DIG Bode Adeleke who was promoted and deployed to head the Department of Operations at the Force HQ, Abuja.

Trek Africa Newspaper can report that the tenure of DIG Bode Adeleke at the Zone 2 HQ, Lagos witnessed tremendous development and all-round success. Operationally, the Zone enjoyed peace as crime and criminality were reduced to the barest minimum under DIG Bode Adeyinka Adeleke. The officers and men working directly with him know they have an empathic and hospitable leader to work with. He caters to officers’ welfare, even basic needs such as feeding.

Further, the man of few words but plenty action, DIG Adeleke brought huge facelift to the infrastructure in the Zone 2 Command HQ. Being under a flyover bridge, the Zone was largely populated by makeshift structures. Upon his assumption into office, DIG Adeleke embarked upon a serious transformation of the physical facility. Trek Africa Newspaper can report that the office structures have been transformed into concrete infrastructure befitting of one of Nigeria’s most excellent Police Zonal headquarters.

With this success, family, friends, and well wishers of DIG Bode Adeyinka Adeleke joined the commissioners of police, deputy commissioners of police, area commanders, heads of tactical units, and other officers of Zone 2 to celebrate DIG Bode Adeleke in the all-white party. Top on the list were member of the board of Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr. Ayo and Dr. Mrs. Ajoke Ogunsan; the PCRC National Chairman, Alhaji Mogaji Olaniyan; Security consultant, Mr. Matthew Ibadin, Chairman, PCRC Lagos State, Apostle Kehinde Showemimo;  immediate past CP of Ogun state now Head, FCID X-Squad, Lagos State, CP Lanre Bankole and his wife; CP Railway command, CP Yetunde Longe; and other dignitaries.
