ITESIWAJU IPINLE EKO VANGUARD, IKORODU CHAPTER ENDORSES AMBODE FOR SECOND TERM, URGED RESIDENTS ON PVC COLLECTION

Ahead of the 2019 general elections, Members of Itesiwaju Ipinle Eko Vanguard has urged Residents across the division to get their Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) in order to elect competent leaders as the group comprising of all executive chairmen of Ikorodu division endorses Governor Akinwunmi Ambode for a second term come 2019.

According to the group they said that, “the giants strides Gov. Ambode has achieved within three years speaks volumes; if you move round the city of state, you will see all the good infrastructural developments and beautiful road networks the governor is executing, which is positively affecting and improving lives and business of Lagosians,” the stated.

Trek Africa gathered that, the group which is made of Ikorodu Local Government, Ikorodu West, Ikorodu North, Igbogbo/Baiyeku, Miata and Ijede LCDAs with Alhaji Babatunde Rotinwa, Chairman, Local Chairman Civil service commission as the Chief Host converged to sensitized residents on the important of the collection of the PVCs, show solidarity and public endorse Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode for second term in office. The chairmen declared, “we’re not only going to vote for Ambode but, we would mobilise votes to return him as the governor-elect come 2019.”

Speaking at the public event, the Vice Chairman, Ikorodu Local Government, Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba, said the group is working tirelessly to ensure that good governance continue in the State by supporting Governor Ambode.

‘’What we are doing is to ensure that the present government led by Akinwunmi Amdode is allowed to continue in office to implement his programmes aimed at making Lagos State a smart city. We will stop at nothing to mobilizing the people of Ikorodu Division for his re-election,’’ she said. She further enjoined all to go out and mobilise people to get their Permanent Voter Cards’ (PVCs) to achieve the target.

In his eloquent remarks, Prince Toyin Gafaar Bolowotan, one of the aspirants, seeking to contest the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ikorodu constituency 1, appealed to residents of Ikorodu who have not registered to do so and get their PVC also mobilise others for the exercise. “Today we are gathered to celebrate the governor, who deserves our support because of his achievements,” he added.

Mr Babatunde Rotinwa, Princes Jumoke Jumbo-Ademeyin, Hon. Banjo Adebisi, Comrade Fatiu Salisu, among others, showered encomium on the good and quality leadership style of Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode. They urged all to reciprocate the gesture by voting Ambode back to office in 2019.

Chairman Imota LCDA, Prince Wasiu Agoro, former HOS, Prince Adesegun Ogunlewe, Yeye Fausat Gbadebo, Chief Golden Jay, Comr Pelaiye Jamiu Okanlawon, political and religious groups were also in attendance.
