INVESTMENT IS A FORM OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP

One good way to participate in entrepreneurship is by supporting the growth of business ideas with resources, primarily finances. Though, not the active business owner, you may invest money with the expectation to recoup your venture over a period of time, or choose to have an ownership stake by making an equity investment in the business.

The truth is investment is very crucial to starting and scaling up businesses and there is no gain saying that it is a form of entrepreneurship.

An excerpt from the soon-to-be-published ‘THE ICONIC BOLA AHMED TINUBU: An Inspiration to African Youth states: ‘Not everyone will start a business. Not everyone can run a business. But everyone can invest in a business. By all means, everyone is involved in wealth creation. Keep your money in the hands of people who can run it better than you and give you returns on your investment.’

And you cannot be wrong if you choose to toe the investment line of thought. ‘It is important to note that Nigeria is a free market economy. Thus, the economic climate does not prohibit any citizen or immigrant from owning properties or business concern. As long as due process is followed in the establishment of these organizations, and the businesses file their tax returns to the appropriate authority and obey public regulations as set by the government for the common good, why should anyone make a mountain out of the molehill?’, shared a section of the book.

Thus, youth are encouraged to participate in entrepreneurship by the way of investment. The good thing is you don’t have to be a big time player to invest, you participate at your level by empowering small businesses around you that need the breath of fresh air that your wealth can offer.
