Imo Governor, Uzodinma Set To Host Nigeria Police Retreat

Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Odidika Uzodinma, is set to host the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba and no fewer than 1000 police chiefs across the country next week, for this year police retreat.
The retreat which was planned for this week, was postponed for logistics reasons.
Top notch of the force from the ranks of Commissioners of police to Deputy Inspectors-General, DIGs are expected to converge at the state capital for the retreat.
A source disclosed that a lot of luxuriant hotels in the city known to be center of higher institutions, are fully booked for the August visitors.
This medium learnt that a former IGP, Dr Solomon E. Arase is expected to deliver lecture to the retreatians.
The state police command and sister’s agencies have equally beefed up security in the state.
“The Governor of the state is very happy to host this year police retreat. He is leaving no stone unturned as far as securing lives and properties before, during and after the retreat” said a public servant who pleaded anonymity.
