IGP Addresses FCT Command CP, DCPs, Area Commanders, DPOs on Proactiveness, Harps on Effective Policing

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba has addressed the Federal Capital Territory area commanders and DPOs on the need to be proactive and practice effective policing.
According to Public Relations Officer Force Headquarter, Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who shared this on his official Twitter page, the IGP charged them to increase their output and make FCT a safer place.
According to the PPRO, Usman disapproves of some officers’ unprofessional approaches to security and the general safety of FCT inhabitants. However, the IGP commanded that going forward, all FCT Command officials must remain alert. In his words:
“The IGP and his management team are presently meeting with officers and tactical commanders in the Federal Capital Territory Command Abuja on the need to be proactive and put measures in place to effectively police the whole FCT. He charged them to be more productive and make sure FCT is safer. He frowns at unprofessional attitudes/actions of some officers to security and the general safety of residents of the FCT. IGP, however, ordered that all officers of the FCT Command must be on their toes, henceforth”.
