“I Almost Died” – Jide Kosoko Makes Shocking Revelation

Veteran Nigerian actor, Jide Kosoko has recounted a frightening health experience, revealing that he nearly died during a medical procedure to screen him for cancer.
Speaking during an interview, the Nollywood icon disclosed that he has been living with diabetes since 1996 and has continued to manage the condition because he is determined to live.
Kosoko explained that he was recently advised to undergo a colonoscopy as part of a medical examination to check for possible signs of cancer. He said he was put under sedation for the procedure, during which he experienced what he described as a near-death ordeal.
The veteran actor also responded to criticism over his decision to attend social functions while one of his colleagues was ill.
Addressing his critics, Kosoko said: “They said someone is sick and Jide Kosoko still went to parties. Why shouldn’t I attend a party?
“I’ve been diabetic since 1996 till date, and I’ve continued to maintain myself because I don’t want to die at all. I was recently informed about a particular test called colonoscopy.
“They said they wanted to check every part of my body to know if there are any traces of cancer. They put me to sleep. And I almost died.”
