Hon. Tunde Braimoh to deliver lecture on Christians and Politics

As the call for Christians to participate in politics for national developments is gathering momentum; the Redeemed Christian church of God and her youths are set to hold a special discourse Tagged; “Christians and Politics”. The Chairman, House Committee on Information, Strategy, Publicity and Security in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Tunde Braimoh has been selected to deliver the Keynote at the series Leadership discourse speech.

In a statement by the Zonal Youth Coordinator, Mr. Adegoke Iyiolaniyi, “the leadership series is expected to be in a class of its own as eminent political persons, youths, church leaders and members of the press will be in attendance”.

 

The organizers; The Redeemed Christian church of God, Prince of Peace Zone, Alapere, Ketu, Pastor Shola Olayinka said Hon. Tunde Braimoh was chosen to deliver the speech based on his wealth of leadership and political experience as a grassroots politician from Kosofe local government to being the Chairman, House Committee on Information, Strategy, Publicity and Security in Lagos State House of Assembly.

 

A former Kosofe Local government Chairman, vibrant grassroots mobilize, a successful manager of men and resources, a legal practitioner by profession, human right campaigner, a philanthropist and a sound orator. The Lagos lawmaker with be speaking on, “Christians and Politics.”

 

It will be recalled that, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, ordered members of the mission to register as card-carrying members of political parties of their choices. He said: “when you get home, tell members to join a political party. Join a party and become a card-carrying member of any party. Just join any party. We shall decide issues right from ward level.” He declared.

The special series service will hold on Sunday 11th February at the church auditorium. The theme was deliberately chosen to carefully address the notion some Christian have about politics. It high time Christians, especially the youths get involved in politics and take their fate in their own hands.
