HON. KASUNMU SUSPENDS BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION • Calls For Prayers For Stronger, Better Nigeria • Says President Tinubu Will Lead Nigeria To Greatness

Lagos State House of Assembly Deputy Majority Leader, Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu (ARK), has announced a total suspension of all activities connected to his birthday felicitations, which is expected to come up 29th March, the same day as the President’s.

It would be recalled to the President and his nephew, Hon. Kasunmu share the same birthdate.
But a statement from the Presidency on Sunday 24th March 2024, directed a cancellation of all forms of celebration planned for the President’s birthday by friends, followers and associates, citing the current economic and security situations in the country.

In what appears to be a direct emulation of Mr. President’s example, Hon. Kasunmu has also announced a suspension of all activities connected to his birthday anniversary this year.

In a message obtained from the verified social media pages of the Lawmaker representing Ikeja Constituency 2 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Kasunmu stated:

“Warm greetings to you all.

In adherence to the recent directive from our dear Leader and Father, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, to tone down all celebration activities of his 72nd birthday anniversary, as a reflection of the current economic and security situations in the country, I hereby implore all my Constituents, family, Friends, associates and well-wishers to refrain from any form of celebratory activity in respect of my birthday which, I am privileged to share with the President and which comes up on the 29th March.

This suspension includes all forms of advertisements in newspapers, traditional and digital media as well as all partying activities.

I implore you all to let us dedicate that day to fervent prayers, supplications and deep reflection on our nation Nigeria and the hope of a greater nation.

While we do these, be assured that all hands are on deck at all layers of government to ensure that our nation emerges stronger, better and more united than ever before.

I have no doubt that, a greater, peaceful and more prosperous Nigeria is about to emerge under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, because he has the zeal, patriotism, political will and required capacity to lead Nigeria to our desired land of greatness

I want to seize this opportunity to thank you all for your past, present and future support.
I’m also thankful as you comply with this solemn birthday wish.
