HIPLIFE ARTISTE, ATTABOY TASKS GOVERNMENT ON FUNDING OF ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY;
UNVEILS HIS 4TH ALBUM

Nigerian Hip Life Artiste, Joey Obinna Uba popularly known as Attaboy has canvassed for special funding of the Entertainment and Hospitality industry by the Federal Government of Nigeria. He also asked the government to initiate Tax rebate for those in the industry as a way of improving the economy. He added that government should create conducive environment in order to uncover many young hidden talents.
Attaboy revealed this in a chat with Trek Africa Newspaper ahead of the public unveiling and dedication of his fourth album which will hold on 29th October at Denposon Hotels in Gowon Estate Egbeda by Abesan gate area of Lagos State. The Governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-olu is the Chief host at the launching of the Album while his counterpart from Enugu state, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is the Special Guest of Honour.

It would be recalled that Obinna Uba aka, Attaboy released his first album in 1991 under Olumo records label, his second in 1996 titled Valentine’s day under the same Olumo records label. Not giving up despite numerous challenges, the multitalented musician returned to the studios in 2008 under Top rank records label to unveiled his third album to the world.
Attaboy’s musical career started in the 1990s as a teenager. But he was initially a dancer with his parents kicking against the chosen career. Now Attaboy is ready for the unveiling of the 4th album, Trek Africa Newspaper can report. The current album contains 8 tracks with another instrumental track.
Attaboy told Trek Africa Newspaper, ‘My going into music was very tough even though my mother was a Soloist while my father, a great instrumentalist yet they had different views about my going into music.’ Nevertheless, his musical career began as a Pop Artist with the likes of Alex O, Edmund Spice, and Sunny Nneji but currently, he plays Hip Hop life. On how he derives his inspiration, the multitalented artiste disclosed to Trek Africa Newspaper that it usually come from listening to good music especially from his mum.
