It was a massive celebration for Mrs. Omowunmi Adebayo yesterday as she turned 56. The celebration which held at the prestigious Watercress Hotel, Ikeja had the crème de la crème of the society converged to celebrate with the Chief of Staff to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Hon. Tayo Ayinde. They include Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku ‘Baba Eto’, the Vice Chairman of Onigbongbo LCDA, Barr. Olufunke Hassan, among others.

Elated about the massive celebration, the celebrant Mrs. Omowunmi Adebayo told Trek Africa Newspaper, ‘this is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. I give God all the glory for keeping me till today. To Him Alone be praise. I am impressed seeing this number of people. I was expecting 5 – 10 people but the number really dazed me. As people have come to celebrate with me, they will also be celebrated. I give God all the glory. I thank God for His mercies upon my life, He has done a lot for me. He has really kept me that I cannot count enough concerning myself, family, my extended family, to Him be the glory.’

She used the opportunity to address the young generation. ‘The generation now are too anxious. They want to get everything at the tip of their fingers. But for the past generation, the patience and maturity is there. I will implore our young ones, God’s time is the best, at His own time, He will give everyone according to his/her desire.’

‘I will advice the women that before they go into relationship, they should pray. God first in all things. If they pray about it, there won’t be mistake. Even with God on your side, it doesn’t mean you won’t face challenges but you will overcome. He didn’t say it will be rosy but He said He has overcome the world for us. They should be patient, prayerful, and the Lord will do a good work for them’, Trek Africa Newspaper can report.

Thankful for her brother, Mrs. Adebayo said: ‘Tayo Ayinde is my immediate senior brother. We have been together, I am 56 years today. I know him in and out, he knows me in and out. I knew he is going to get to this height because when we were growing up as children, I have been an enterprising person and he would want to take money from me, when it turns to a fight, he will say ‘I know I am going to be rich and when I am rich we will spend it together’. I will also tell him that I know I am going to be rich as well. I want to thank God for his life. The sky is the beginning for him.’
