Gov. Sanwo-Olu Welcomes First Lady Oluremi Tinubu On Maiden Official Visit To Lagos • First Lady to empower thousands of women, inaugurate Lagos industrial leather hub

Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has warmly received and welcomed the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, on her first official visit to Lagos State.
In a brief statement released, the Governor described the visit as a significant moment for Lagosians, noting that it underscores the First Lady’s dedication to uplifting women, children, and families across the nation.

Later today, Senator Tinubu is scheduled to present empowerment items to over 1,000 women at the Lagos State House in Alausa, Ikeja. She will also formally inaugurate the Lagos Industrial Leather Hub in Matori, Mushin, which is billed as the largest of its kind in West Africa.
Gov. Sanwo-Olu called on Lagosians to receive the First Lady with warmth and hospitality, describing her initiatives as “a source of hope and practical support to those who need them most.”
“Her visit is a reminder of her deep commitment to the welfare of women, children, and families across Nigeria. It also reflects the values we in Lagos share—unity, inclusion, and development that touches every life,” the Governor said.
The Governor concluded by expressing pride that Lagos is serving as the platform for these impactful programs, reaffirming the state’s role as a hub of innovation, empowerment, and social progress.
