Gov. Sanwo-Olu Swaps LETI, LNSA Heads

Lagos State Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved the substitution of the General Manager of Lagos Neighborhood Safety Agency, LNSA, and Director General of Law Enforcement Training Institute, LETI.
This was nearly a week the Lagos State Neighbourhood Agency, LNSA, received the Award of Excellence for being the best participating agency in the paramilitary training programme organised by the Lagos State Government and held at the Law Enforcement Training Institute (LETI), Magodo.

Shortly after the official handing over ceremony and assumption of office at the headquarters of the LNSA at Oshodi, the new General Manager of Prince Ifalade Oyekan, promised his commitment to deliver a mandate to rebrand and boost community policing operations, in line with global best practices.
Oyekan – the former Head of LETI, vowed to restructure and rebrand the agency in line with the six pillars of Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES Agenda.
Stressing that “Governor (Sanwo-Olu) is very concerned about the safety and security of lives in the state as highlighted in the sixth pillar of the THEMES agenda, Oyekan disclosed that “one of the rebranding and restructuring that will take place is to change the orientation of the officers, which we already started when I was at LETI, but now it has to be intensive.
Stressing that intelligence gathered during his monitoring and evaluation process as LETI Boss, showed that some areas “need of a total overhaul which will bring a better environment to the citizens of the state and Nigeria as a whole”, the New LNSC Boss, commended Governor Sanwo-Olu for trusting and believing in his ability to bring change to the agency.
Meanwhile, Adegboyega Bajulaiye the former General Manager of the agency, and the new Head of LETI vowed that he “do not doubt in my heart that Oyekan will perform his best to change the face of the agency and its operations.
Bajulaiye, also implored members of staff be ready to work “rather than their usual lackadaisical attitude because there is a new sheriff in town who takes discipline very seriously”.
He noted his readiness for the new rol as well as introduction of new training ideas that will equip law enforcement officers in the state for better operations.
“The new head of LETI, disclosed his plan to introduce new ideas in terms of the training curriculum particularly for the neighbourhood safety corps because they are meant to complement the Police.
