Over thirty buildings including residential homes and office apartments around Masha and Kilo in Surulere area of Lagos state have been marked for possession following a judgement by the Ikeja High Court. Those who came to mark the buildings today told Trek Africa Newspaper that the exercise was carried out in respect of the Court ruling secured by the family of Oba Lateef Atanda Adams.

Trek Africa Newspaper can also report that a popular Business Centre in Masha, Surulere was as well cordoned off as occupants were prevented from accessing their apartments.

The affected owners of the buildings marked have sent an appeal to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu to wade into the matter. They said that it was sad that some people just suddenly woke up and took over their properties without due process.

In his reaction to the matter, the Counsel to Oba Adams said the case was instituted in 1968 while ruling was given in 1975 by Hon Justice M.A Lawal of Ikeja High Court. According to him, the occupants of the affected marked buildings were doing so illegally since the pronouncement of the court. He added that all legal documents on the possession are before the Deputy Sherrif at Ikeja High Court.
