Gov. Fubara Writes To Meet Pro-Wike Rivers Lawmakers • Says, “I’m ready to present budget, pay allowances”

Rivers State Governor, Siminialayi Fubara, has extended an invitation to the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Martins Amaewhule, along with other lawmakers, for an important meeting at the Government House in Port Harcourt.
This invitation, issued from the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, is the first time Fubara has formally recognized Amaewhule in his capacity as Speaker of the Assembly.
Dated March 7, the invitation refers to a letter from the governor on March 5, acknowledging the Supreme Court’s judgment.
Key topics on the agenda include discussing the provision of appropriate facilities for the Assembly’s sittings, settling outstanding remunerations and allowances, presenting the state budget, and addressing other important matters for the state’s development.
