‘GIRLS WITH PERIOD INITIATIVE’ SET TO HOLD 3RD EDITION OF ITS GIFT A PAD CAMPAIGN WALK! • ‘Gift a pad’ campaign walk 3.0

‘Girls With Period’ Initiative a non for profit organization will hold its “Gift a Pad” campaign walk 3.0 with the theme Gift Pads, Promote Hygiene to commemorate Menstrual Hygiene day on Saturday, the 27th of May 2023 at 7am.
‘Girls with Period’ Initiative, is a non for profit initiative that aids in educating girls and women about menstrual hygiene, sex education, the importance of education and self-esteem amongst others, the initiative has reached over 10,000 young girls and women.
‘Gift a pad’ Campaign walk 3.0 by the ‘Girls With Period’ initiative is to mark Menstrual Hygiene day. The campaign walk aims to raise awareness on menstrual health and hygiene practices, as well as dispel some common myths and misconceptions and raise donations that goes towards providing sanitary kits to less privilege girls and women which will help the fight against period poverty.
“As an organization, we will keep raising awareness of menstrual practices, educating women and girls about them, and providing sanitary products. This is the motivation behind the ‘Gift a Pad’ campaign walk project”. Founder, Patricia Vin-Okopi said.
The walk will have in attendance reality TV stars like Yvonne Godswill, Adeoluwa Okusaga (Saga) amongst others as well as the sterling one foundation. The campaign walk is also supported by Dr. Munirat Antoinette Lecky, Chief executive officer of Express Multi-Concept Resources(EMR) Group, Nike Fowowe, Media entrepreneur and social media strategist, Pamilerin Adegoke and Chairman of the board of trustees for ‘Girls With Period’, Ifeoma ‘Oma Areh amongst others.
The Initiative is open to support and collaborations with like minds and brands who are aware of challenges faced by females, especially the not-so-privileged ones and are in tune with the alleviation of period poverty in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
