GENERAL YUSUF RESUMES AS GOC 6 DIVISION

 

The newly appointed General Officer Commanding (GOC) 6 Division Nigerian Army Major General Musa Sani Yusuf has assumed command of the Division on 23 January 2018.

 

He took over from Major General Enobong Okon Udoh who has been redeployed as the General Officer Commanding 81 Division.

 

Major General Yusuf is a member of the 37 Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), a seasoned and professional Infantry Officer.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from NDA, Masters in Transport Management from LAUTECH, Masters of Science in Strategic Studies from University of Ibadan, a Diploma in Peace Keeping and Shipping Logistics and a Diploma in Higher Level Defence Management from Indore University, India.

 

General Yusuf has attended all his mandatory military Courses among which include Young Officers’ Course Infantry, Airborne Course, Company Commanders’ Course (Infantry), Junior and Senior Courses in Armed Forces Command Staff College in Jaji and India respectively as well as National Defence College among others.

 

He has served in several Nigerian Army Units and Formations where he held appointments commensurate to his rank. He has both local and foreign operational experiences including those under the auspices of ECOMOG and the United Nations.

 

Before his current appointment as GOC 6 Division Nigerian Army, he was the Commander of the elite Guards Brigade Nigerian Army.
