Former Local Government Chairman, Adewale Visits Police Boss Ahead Of APC Ward Congress

The leader and founder of The Consolidation Group (TCG), Comrade Ayodele Adewale, Immediate past executive chairman of Amuwo Odofin local government, Lagos State and Life Patron of NATA Lagos State chapter on Tuesday 1st of May, 2018 paid a courtesy visit to the Divisional Police Office (DPO) Festac Town, CSP Obong at his office in Festac Town.

He led a delegation of some leaders of the group comprising of the chairman, Snr. Apostle Kehinde, Mama Popoola, Engr.Cecil Okereke, Hon.Adewunmi Ogunshina, Hon.Wasiu Bello, Prince Dosunmu, Hon. Jamiu Balogun, Ibrahim Balogun and Mrs Maureen Ashara.

The objective of the meeting was to introduce the TCG as a caucus within the All Progressive Congress (APC) with an underlying ethos for non violence. The visit was a reaffirmation of the confidence they have in the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) to ensure full police protection of all especially during the upcoming APC congress.

In his remark, the DPO highlighted the essence of governance as service to the people and that government should be seen as a continuum.
The security boss welcomed the TCG as partners in security business.

He stated that the NPF will be on ground to ensure peace and security of lives and property at the congress and beyond.
In a similar vein, The Consolidation Group continued the verification and accreditation exercise for all its members across the 7 wards of the local government that will be contesting for 36 positions per ward at the congress on Saturday the 5th of May 2018.

Comrade Adewale noted that It has been a very tedious exercise but it had to be done to ensure that the group fields the best candidates for the various elective positions in the ward, LGA and State congresses.

“No stone would be left unturned in ensuring we field credible and loyal party faithfuls this time around. Gone are the days of thinking with just the mind. Now the head is fully involved.”

EXCO members of the TCG had brainstorming session way into the night to bring out the best from the process.Comrade Adewale and his team also took painstaking efforts in ensuring the intended exco’s satisfy the Party’s criteria to contest for the coming congress under the banner of the group.

The crucial deliberations came to an end at the dead of the night (11pm) as various EXCO’s retired to their homes.
