Family, Friends Remember Senator Bayo ‘Pepperito’ Osinowo 5 Years On…

 

 

It’s been five (5) years since the passing unto glory of Lagos political power-broker, philanthropist, grassroots mobilizer, June 12 democracy hero and distinguished Senator at the 9th Senate represented Lagos East Senatorial district, Senator Adebayo Sikiru Osinowo and family, friends, and associates continue to remember his life, times, legacy and impact in their lives, Trek Africa Newspaper can report.

In his special tribute today Sunday June 15th, 2025 titled ‘5 Years On… Still Etched in Our Hearts’ cited by Trek Africa Newspaper, the Agboyi-Ketu LCDA Executive Chairman, Mayor Dele Osinowo recalled about his late elder brother, ‘Today marks the 5th year remembrance of someone who was more than a mentor to me: a father, a guiding light, and a pillar of strength! Senator Sikiru Adebayo Osinowo (Pepperito).’

‘Your memory remains deeply etched in my heart and in the hearts of everyone you touched. You taught me so much, setting me on a path of purpose, service, and integrity. Your wisdom, your unwavering support, and your unparalleled dedication to public service continue to guide me daily.’

About the late politician who passed on Monday 15th June 2020, the Agboyi-Ketu LCDA Chairman added: ‘I remember our countless conversations, the invaluable advice, the laughter, the strategic direction, and the way you carried the burden of leadership with such grace and conviction. You were the very definition of a true leader and a true father figure.’

‘Though your physical presence is missed beyond words, your legacy lives on. The values you instilled, the people you mentored, and the vision you had for our communities still shape everything I strive for today. We dearly miss you, Pepperito. Your spirit still propels us forward and reminds us of the power of sincerity, impact, and service.’

Mayor Dele Osinowo prayed: ‘As we remember and celebrate you today, we say: “Allāhumma ighfir lahu warhamhu wa ‘āfihi wa‘fu ‘anhu.”

(O Allah, forgive him, have mercy on him, pardon him, and grant him peace.)

May Jannatul Firdaus be your eternal home. Ameen. Your memory is forever cherished. Your legacy, eternal.’
