EID-EL-KABIR: FRSC LAGOS HEIGHTENS ROAD SAFETY PLANS • Deploy officers, vehicles, others for accident-free celebration

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Lagos State Command has deployed 1550 officers, marshals and Special Marshals, 40 patrol vehicles, 8 power bikes, 4 ambulances, 4 private-owned tow trucks to monitor all roads during the Eid-El-Kabir celebrations in the state. This is to ensure that Lagosians enjoy a accident-free celebration.
In a press statement e-signed and released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP by the FRSC Lagos Sector Public Education Officer, Superintendent Route Commander Olabisi Sonusi stated that the Lagos State Sector Commander, Corps Commander Babatunde Farinloye, has deployed personnel for traffic control at strategic locations within the metropolis during the Eid-El-Kabir Celebrations. The Sector Commander admonished the motorists to obey traffic rules and regulations and avoid infractions that can lead to Road Traffic Crash and obstruction of traffic flow.

CC Farinloye admonished motorists to carry out the necessary maintenance of their vehicles to avoid breakdown. He also emphasized the need for lane discipline on the expressway, especially on Lagos – Ibadan expressway, where construction work is still ongoing. To ensure free flow of traffic during this festivity period, the FRSC Lagos State Command will continue to sensitize motorists and step up its early morning safety cry at motor parks and other designated places.
While wishing all Muslim fatefuls and Nigerians happy Eid-El-Kabir celebration, he advised motorists to drive with caution. The Command will carry out special patrol operation and traffic control to ease road congestion in the metropolis and all major corridors across the state from 26 June to 1st July 2023.
