EID CELEBRATIONS: NAOSNP FELICITATE WITH MUSLIM; PRES. OKI URGES PRES. BUHARI TO FORESTALL REPEAT OF KUJE SAGA

The National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP), an umbrella body of security news publishers, has called on the Muslim community to continually put Nigeria in prayers as she grapples with security challenges.

The charge was contained in a press statement signed by the Association’s Public Relations Officer Mr Eric Elezuo, where the Association expressed its heartfelt felicitations with the Muslim Ummah.

The Association wished the Muslim community a hassle free celebration, urging them to imbibe the peaceful tendencies of Prophet Muhammad so as to extricate the country, and the society from the chains of insecurity and man’s inhumanity to man.

“It is with the deepest sincerity that we felicitate and congratulate our dear brothers and sister in Islam, wishing that Allah grant everyone a peaceful celebration.

“We also called on everyone celebrating to remember and prayed for Nigeria as she grapples with security challenges, and also give our leaders the foresight to tackle the menace.”

The Association further called on the the government of President Muhammadu Buhari to as a matter of urgency, begin a definite crackdown on all suspected hideouts of insurgents, thereby taking the battle to the enemies and forestall future terrorism attacks.

“We also use this opportunity to call on President Muhammadu Buhari to begin a crackdown on all suspected hideouts of insurgents so as to forestall such occurrence as the Kuje Prison terrorists attack that happened during the week,” the statement noted.

According to the statement, the President of the Association, Mr Samson Oki, assured that the group will continue to uphold the tenets pure journalism, with Special emphasis to security reporting, which will in turn keep the nation together.

He urged all to have a splendid celebration, be very alert of his immediately surroundings and report every suspected situation to the nearest security agency or Police station.
