The Chief of Defence Staff, CDS, General Christopher Gwabin Musa has commended all the recipients of the Police Awards and Commendation Ceremony, noting that, ‘Defeat Is Temporal, Victory is Forever, Police Officers are the Unsung Heroes, each one of you plays a vital role in upholding the values of justice, integrity, and respect for all.

 

General Musa gave this special commendation yesterday, 15th April 2024 at the inaugural Police Awards and Commendation Ceremony to acknowledge and celebrate the exceptional achievements of Nigeria police officers at Transcorp Hotel in Abuja.

According to General Musa, the award event marks a significant milestone in recognizing the exemplary service, and bravery demonstrated by our law enforcement officers.

He noted that in the face of challenges and adversity, police officers have displayed unwavering courage, professionalism, and commitment to public safety. They have gone above and beyond the call of duty, often placing themselves in harm’s way to protect our communities and uphold the rule of law.

General Musa also said in every community, police officers are the unsung heroes who stand ready to protect and serve, often facing formidable challenges and difficult situations. Your professionalism, courage, and compassion are the cornerstones of a safe and secure society. As we celebrate the achievements of our award recipients today, let us also acknowledge the collective spirit of service that defines our entire police force.

“Today, let this maiden ceremony serve as a testament to the noble ideals that guide our police force. May we continue to stand together in support of law enforcement and work towards building a safer and stronger Nigeria.

“To the recipients of these awards, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to you on your outstanding achievements. Your dedication, bravery and unwavering commitment to serving and protecting our communities exemplify the true spirit of law enforcement and embody the values that define us as a Nation.
” Thank you for your service and for continually striving to make our neighbourhoods safer. Your hard work and courage deserve this recognition and more. Please accept my best wishes for continued success and safety as you carry out your vital work.
“To the families and loved ones of our police officers, I extend my gratitude for your unwavering support and prayers to our men and women who keep our society safe. Let me also appreciate and commend the Inspector General of Police for his leadership and initiative to honour the hardworking men and women of the Nigeria Police. This singular act will no doubt inspire the force to greater feats in all their daily endeavours.
“We remain truly grateful and continue to pledge our unalloyed loyalty and dedication to ensure the security of lives and properties across the nation. Once again, my sincere congratulations to the recipients and the entire Nigeria Police Force,” he said.
