CP Lawal Receives 36 Newly Passed-Out ASPs In Ondo • Charges officers on professionalism and ethical policing

The Commissioner of Police, Ondo State Command, CP Adebowale Lawal, psc(+), mnips, has formally received thirty-six (36) newly passed-out Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP II) of Regular Course 7 from the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, who have been posted to the Command, National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP can report.
The officers were officially welcomed at the Ondo State Police Command Headquarters, Alagbaka, Akure, where the Commissioner of Police congratulated them on the successful completion of their five (5) years of intensive police and academic training at the Nigeria Police Academy.
CP Lawal charged the officers to uphold the core values of the Nigeria Police Force, emphasizing professionalism, discipline, integrity, and strict adherence to the rule of law, as well as respect for human rights in the discharge of their duties. He reminded them that effective policing leadership requires fairness, courage, accountability, and selfless service to the people.
The Commissioner noted that the deployment of the officers aligns with the vision and ongoing reforms of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D, NPM, aimed at strengthening manpower capacity, enhancing professionalism, and repositioning the Nigeria Police Force for intelligence-led and community-oriented policing across the country.
CP Lawal further stressed the importance of dedication to duty, teamwork, intelligence gathering, crime prevention strategies, and proactive community engagement. He noted that Ondo State provides a critical platform for the officers to contribute meaningfully to public safety, crime control, and sustainable peace-building.
He assured the newly deployed officers of the Command’s commitment to continuous mentorship, capacity development, and welfare support, urging them to conduct themselves as worthy ambassadors of the Nigeria Police Force whose actions will inspire public trust and confidence.
